What is the mission of The Foundation: The Foundation, raises, invests and
manages funds for the sole purpose of financially supporting the activities, programs,
practices and growth of Temple Solel located in Paradise Valley, Arizona.
How is The Foundation organized: The Foundation is a separate 501 (c)3
corporation, making your donations tax deductible.
Who administers The Foundation: A group, of up to 15 volunteer
congregants, known as directors serve on The Foundation including an
executive committee consisting of a President, Vice President, Treasurer and
Secretary.
Who watches over our investments: Investments are managed by Morgan
Stanley and The Center for Jewish Philanthropy. Money managers watch over
the investments and make recommendations for change. Our investment
committee, led by the treasurer of the TSEF may also make recommendations
for change which are acted upon by the directors of the TSEF
When was The Foundation started: The Temple Solel Endowment
Foundation was started in 1992. After a period of dormancy, it was
reinvigorated in 2012 and has been running strong since.
What is The Foundations commitment to Temple Solel: TSEF is committed
to donating up 5% of its investment value to Temple Solel annually. Any
special monetary unbudgeted needs of the congregation are considered for
support.
What types of gifts will The Foundation accept: Checks, Legacy Gifts,
Recurring Gifts, Securities, Real Estate, Personal Property, Bequests, Charitable
Remainder Trusts, Retirement Plan Beneficiary, Life Insurance. Other gifts
may be accepted if approved by our Gift Acceptance Committee
