Program Specialist
Who We Are:
Temple Solel, a progressive Reform Congregation in the Phoenix area with approximately 550 families, is proud to be growing again! Nestled near the stunning Camelback Mountain and deeply rooted in the community, our members are drawn to Solel for our incredible clergy, exquisite music, and warm family atmosphere. In addition to a variety of Shabbat services, we offer valuable programming, diverse social functions, and meaningful volunteer opportunities for all ages.
What We Are Looking For:
To support our continued growth and development, we are adding a Program Specialist to our Temple Solel family. This individual will bring creative energy to coordinate programs and activities while engaging with congregants, lay leaders, clergy, and temple administration to foster a strong sense of community.

What You Will Do:
- Develop and maintain programs that foster membership engagement
- Assist in maintaining a culture of stewardship within the congregation
- Plan, develop, and manage temple-wide events, collaborating with the Executive Director, President, Clergy, Senior Staff, and lay leaders to execute programs
- Recruit, communicate with, coordinate, and supervise volunteers
- Maintain and coordinate the calendar and communications for all programs
- Assist in planning High Holiday programming and related activities
- Help develop future lay leadership to join committees and assist with events
- Collaborate with staff and lay leaders to develop engagement and fundraising strategies
- Utilize a combination of social media, print, website, and direct verbal communication to keep the congregation and community informed about events and programs
What Else?
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Minimum of 5 years related experience
- Strong Jewish knowledge base
- Evening and weekend availability required
- Compensation commensurate with experience

Religious School Teachers

- There are openings in all grades. Knowledge of the Aleph Bet, Hebrew vowels and prayers are encouraged.

The ideal candidate possesses a positive personality combined with a love for interacting with children, young children and creating a safe, fun, learning environment for them to thrive. A High School diploma is required, minimum age 18 years old. Experience working with children and/or in a classroom preferred but not required.
