Youth groups are a way for Temple Solel children to come together outside of the formal educational experience to form friendships that expand far beyond the walls of the temple.
JSTY (Junior Solel Temple Youth) 6th-7th-8th
Temple Solel’s youth group for our 6th-8th graders is a great way for kids to meet other Jewish kids through fun social events and programs. Scavenger hunts, social action, speakers, and cooking competitions round out the programming for our young teens. Nominal fees will be charged, which will help pay for social activities off campus and programs the youth group wants to bring in.
TSTY (Temple Solel Temple Youth) 9th-12th
Our high school youth group is open to all 9th-12th graders and offers a full calendar of events throughout the school year. TSTY also has a number of leadership and community service opportunities available. TSTY’s elections take place each May and are open to TSTY members in good standing. Nominal fees will help pay for social activities off campus and programs the youth group wants to bring in.
NFTY (National Federation of Temple Youth) Southwest
NFTY Southwest is the regional youth group arm of the Union of Reform Judaism. They hold regional and international events throughout the year that Temple Solel 6th-12th graders can participate in to become more involved in the community.
NFTY 678–brings the best of the NFTY experience to middle school youth in grades 6 to 8. Events for NFTY678 are designed specifically for this age group. They provide our participants with age-appropriate activities in a safe, welcoming, and caring community of their peers.
NFTY–is a community for Reform Jewish high school students. Participants build friendships, lifelong Reform Jewish identities, and leadership skills through community building, worship, social action, and experiential youth-led Jewish educational programming.
